Decentralizing Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis Treatment in Kano State Nigeria
In our ongoing effort to empower healthcare workers in the fight against Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DR-TB), RAHAMA Initiative hosted a highly impactful capacity-building for healthcare workers and tuberculosis supervisors in Kano State. Supported by @treatmentactiongroup through the ASCENT DR-TB Project, the three-day training brought together healthcare professionals and key stakeholders from eight local government areas across Kano as we work together to develop effective strategies to combat DR-TB. The training provided a platform for vital discussions and resources aimed at strengthening healthcare workers’ knowledge and skills in managing DR-TB, improving access to shorter DR TB regimens, patient centered care, all while striving toward our goal of eliminating tuberculosis by 2030.
Together, we are one step closer to a TB-free future. A heartfelt thank you to all the healthcare professionals and partners who are tirelessly working to make this vision a reality.
