Training of TB Champions

 With the support of the Kano State TBLCP KN State Ministry of Health, we held a 2 days capacity building of DOT, ART Officers and TB Champions in an effort to optimize the uptake of 1HP TPT in Kano. 40 focal facilities and communities will be supported through the initiative to ensure that household contacts and at risk population have access to 1HP short course Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment in the 8 LGAs of Kano.

Community Engagement

 We successfully engaged the community members of Kwarin Barka in Kano State. This is part of the social awareness project for GBV and SRH. These girls and women were engaged on the need to serve as advocates in their respective communities, providing access to adequate information, resources and referrals.  Together we can advocate against GBV and provide access to information on SRH.

Annual Visitation

  We visited Kano Remand Home today as part of our annual visitations. We met and conversed with male juvenile offenders remanded for different offences.There are presently no female juvenile offenders at the home, some of them were recently transferred to Prisons and others released.  Some of their needs at the home include; drugs, brooms, detergents, food materials and vegetables etc. Thank you all for your donations and contributions.
