Rahama Initiative supported the Kano State TBLCP in OPD Activation Session across 8 treatment centers in the State. Supported through the ASCENT DR-TB Project by @treatmentactiongroup, the Project is improving access to shorter and safer DR TB treatment in the State. #ENDTB2030 #endtb

Rahama Initiative onboarded social media influencers to support in raising awareness on HIV and HIV services in Kano State. With support from @pepfar, the Adolescents and Young People Project aims to enhance community-led monitoring and virtual space engagement for HIV services among adolescents and Young People (AYP) in Kano State, Nigeria  #hivawareness #hivnomore

We had a fulfilling experience at the just concluded National TB Conference held in Abuja, where we joined experts across Nigeria and beyond as we chart pathways to ending Tuberculosis. During the 3-day event, we led conversations on community-based Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) interventions while discussing strategies to enhance TPT uptake and improve treatment outcomes, especially within vulnerable communities. Key highlights from our participation include: 1. Screening of a 5-Minute TPT Documentary showcasing a video that aims to increase awareness and educate communities on the importance of TPT. 2. Presentation on 1HP-based TPT Regimen: Our team shared our hands-on experience in implementing the 1HP-based TB Preventive Treatment(TPT) regimen in Kano State. This initiative has proven effective in reducing the risk of TB among high-risk groups, and we provided key insights, successes, and challenges faced throughout the process. 3. Rahama Girl Child And Women Empowerment Initiative organized the #hivawareness event on #WorldIDSDay2024 to highlight stories of People Living with HIV and ways we can collectively #endhiv. Attended by the Kano State SACA, Youth Advocates and Social Media Influencers and supported by The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the program was aimed at improving knowledge level of Adolescents and Young Persons (AYP) on HIV prevention, treatment and response. #PEPFAR #hivnomore #AYP  U.S. Mission Nigeria

RAHAMA commemorated the #16daysofactivism with the National Human Rights Commission, Kano State, and 6 Primary and Secondary Schools to deliberate and raise awareness on Gender Based Violence (GBV).
