HIV Awareness Evening (Watch Party)

Rahama Girl Child And Women Empowerment Initiative organized the #hivawareness event on #WorldIDSDay2024 to highlight stories of People Living with HIV and ways we can collectively #endhiv.

Attended by the Kano State SACA, Youth Advocates and Social Media Influencers and supported by The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the program was aimed at improving knowledge level of Adolescents and Young Persons (AYP) on HIV prevention, treatment and response.

 We successfully engaged the community members of Kwarin Barka in Kano State. This is part of the social awareness project for GBV and SRH. These girls and women were engaged on the need to serve as advocates in their respective communities, providing access to adequate information, resources and referrals.  Together we can advocate against GBV and provide access to information on SRH.
