This week, we supported a Journalist Training coordinated by Journalists Against AIDS in Lagos to build the capacity of media houses and Journalists on TB reporting, community sensitisation and mobilization for the uptake of Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment.  Our head of programs @umaribro, @oyinbowazobiafm and @ricqyultra represented Kano State and shared learnings so far on the 1HP Project and the uptake of TPT in those communities.  #endtbnow #Right2PreventTB

Community approach to the uptake of Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) has proven to be adequate in mobilizing household contacts and at risk population to take TPT.  Our TB Champions have trained, mobilized and referred over 5,000 household contacts and at risk populations to the nearest healthcare centers for TPT uptake in 8 LGAs of Kano State. #right2preventtb #endtb

We are looking for an applicant with a University Degree or its equivalent in Public Health, Nursing or Health related fields. A master’s degree as well as certificate in Project Management will be an added advantage. The candidate should possess a minimum of 4 years' relevant work experience in project management of health focused projects. S/he must possess skills in quality and timely report writing, excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and within a team environment, proficiency in Microsoft office Suite and project management tools.
