Rahama Girl Child and Women Empowerment Initiative

 For #16DaysOfActivism, we shared experiences, lessons learnt and way forward with our GBV Community Advocates #Rahama #forthegirls

We commemorated International Day of the Girl Child with the girls of Gidan Makama Special Primary Schools where we engaged them on the importance of education, their individual rights and leadership.  #idgc  #idgc2023

Today on this day, we reiterate our support to advancing the rights of girls to a name, safety, quality education, access to health care, leadership and so much more. Happy International Day of the Girl Child #idgc  #IDGC2023

 We successfully engaged the community members of Kwarin Barka in Kano State. This is part of the social awareness project for GBV and SRH. These girls and women were engaged on the need to serve as advocates in their respective communities, providing access to adequate information, resources and referrals.  Together we can advocate against GBV and provide access to information on SRH.

  We visited Kano Remand Home today as part of our annual visitations. We met and conversed with male juvenile offenders remanded for different offences.There are presently no female juvenile offenders at the home, some of them were recently transferred to Prisons and others released.  Some of their needs at the home include; drugs, brooms, detergents, food materials and vegetables etc. Thank you all for your donations and contributions.
