RAHAMA Participates in Joint SEAR-WPR Workshop to Accelerate Implementation of WHO TB Policies in Hanoi, Viet Nam

RAHAMA is proud to have participated in the recent joint South-East Asia Region (SEAR) and Western Pacific Region (WPR) workshop focused on accelerating the implementation of new WHO tuberculosis (TB) policies , as part of the ASCENT Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB) Project . Held under the auspices of the  Unitaid, KNCV, World Health Organization (WHO) and The Global Fund, the workshop brought together national TB programs, civil society organizations, technical partners, and donors from across the SEAR and WPR regions to strategize on scaling up implementation of TB policies in alignment with WHO's latest guidelines. As part of the civil society breakout sessions, organised and supported by Treatment Action Group (TAG) and KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, RAHAMA led discussions on the power of traditional and new media to drive awareness, shape public discourse, and increase access to shorter oral DR-TB regimens —especially for marginalized populations. The RAHAMA team and KN State Ministry of Health recently featured on AREWA24 to educate the public about the TB, its symptoms, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
