Menstrual Hygiene Day 2024

On 28th May 2024, we commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day at Hausawa Girls' Secondary School Kano where we engaged them on the importance of menstrual hygiene, how to make reusable pads and on personal hygiene. In an effort to make a #friendlyperiod world for Young and Adolescent Girls, we believe in creating a safe space for each other to interact and engage in days like this. #Rahama#rahamaatwork #MenstrualHygieneDay

Community Engagement

 We successfully engaged the community members of Kwarin Barka in Kano State. This is part of the social awareness project for GBV and SRH. These girls and women were engaged on the need to serve as advocates in their respective communities, providing access to adequate information, resources and referrals.  Together we can advocate against GBV and provide access to information on SRH.

Annual Visitation

  We visited Kano Remand Home today as part of our annual visitations. We met and conversed with male juvenile offenders remanded for different offences.There are presently no female juvenile offenders at the home, some of them were recently transferred to Prisons and others released.  Some of their needs at the home include; drugs, brooms, detergents, food materials and vegetables etc. Thank you all for your donations and contributions.
