Menstrual Hygiene Day 2022

 We visited Government Girls Arabic Secondary School, Sheka to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day 2022.

We talked to the girls about menstrual hygiene, period poverty, menstruation stigma and how to make reusable sanitary pads.                                                                  The girls demonstrated making the sanitary pads in groups with their Guidance and Counseling Officer in attendance.

 We successfully engaged the community members of Kwarin Barka in Kano State. This is part of the social awareness project for GBV and SRH. These girls and women were engaged on the need to serve as advocates in their respective communities, providing access to adequate information, resources and referrals.  Together we can advocate against GBV and provide access to information on SRH.
