Violence against Women

 During this existential violence against women, our call is to Women to be each other's keepers. Men won't do that.

For context: During the holy Ramadan, girls and ladies came up with a challenge to wear Abaya during Eid. Ever since then, scholars (who are all men) and other men came out to debunk the idea thereby subjecting women who wore gowns to harrasment and violence on the streets. 

This recent harassment of a female university student made rounds on social media, we are glad that the institution took action and hope it serve as a deterrent.

 We successfully engaged the community members of Kwarin Barka in Kano State. This is part of the social awareness project for GBV and SRH. These girls and women were engaged on the need to serve as advocates in their respective communities, providing access to adequate information, resources and referrals.  Together we can advocate against GBV and provide access to information on SRH.
