Rahama Girl Child and Women Empowerment Initiative

The girls/women empowerment project will commence screening exercise of the next batch on 28th April 2018. We are proud to announce that the project will be conducted in 3 centres and will empower over 200 girls/women from Kumbotso LGA of Kano State.The centres are: 1. The Sabuwar Gandu Skill Acquisition Training Center which is in our office. 2. The School for Handicapp in Tudun Maliki and 3. Sheka Primary School The Project is expected to empower women in skills acquisition, entrepreneuship, social and societal issues such as rape, domestic violence, gender inequality, maternal health and girl child education etc.

The training workshop of community based paralegals and alternative dispute and conflict resolution was hosted by RGCWEI and our partners. We thank our speakers in person of Barrister Ma'aruf Yakasai, Barrister Humaira Balarabe, The Nigerian Police Force Sheka Division and our participants: Community Leaders of Kwarin Barka, Tukuntawa, Sabuwar Gandu, Tudun Maliki, Gidan Maza, Rafin Kuka and the community vigilantes.
